Agnit Semiconductors Raises US$ 2.6 million in seed extension round

Bengaluru-based IISc-incubated deep-tech startup Agnit Semiconductors raises $2.6 million in a seed extension equity round led by Shastra VC. Existing investors 3one4 Capital and Zephyr Peacock also participated in the round.

AGNIT plans to use the funds to scale production of Gallium Nitride (GaN) components to 1 lakh units over the next 24 months. The company will also expand into telecom infrastructure and power semiconductor devices. AGNIT said it aims to move from pilot deployments to commercial production in the coming years. Commercial shipments of its first products are expected to begin in July 2027.

Founded in 2019 by Hareesh Chandrasekar, Digbijoy Nath, Madhusudan Atre PhD, DBA, Prof. Mayank Shrivastava, Muralidharan Rangarajan, Shankar Kumar Selvaraja, and Srinivasan Raghavan, the company designs and manufactures Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductors and devices for application in defence equipment, power electronics, and telecommunications.
